Chronic malnutrition affects nearly one in every four children in all of Haiti under five years old. Without food, children have no capacity to experience physical or mental growth.
Help for Haiti partners with Feed My Starving Children, a Christian non profit working to end childhood hunger. Through our partnership we have been able to feed 480+ students in our two schools in northern Haiti since 2011.
Every year we raise funds to send nutrient-dense MannaPack meals from Feed My Starving Children. These meals are based on the Caribbean staple, rice and contain soy and vegetables as well as vitamins and minerals that are essential for the growth of malnourished children.
Our donors have helped us to provide over 1,700,000 meals in north Haiti. In providing the proper sustenance for these children we are assisting in breaking multi-generational poverty by opening the doors to education, employment and a future.
